The lichen is grey-green and the size is up to 30 centimetres. Its considered as in the redlist. In Trillemarka you find large populations in old swamp and bog-forests

Evernia divaricata is a rare lichen which are dependent on old, moist and light open forest.
It grows on branches of slow-grown small spruces along creeks, bogs and in swamp forests. Sometimes it can grow on old pines and rockwalls.
